Seven people have been taken to hospital by ambulance after the Broloppet – the running competition that takes place over the Öresundsbron bridge between Denmark and Sweden. The injury situation is unclear according to SVT.
With over 40,000 runners, there was a lot of congestion at the finish of Broloppet. From the public address systems, participants were then urged to stop their clocks in order to get the correct finish time as the queue to the finish line wound its way long when many had to finish at the same time, reports Sydsvenskan.
